NYFW 2019 | Fashion HongKong
As an Asian, I was proud to see that fashion from HK is being shown to the world in New York Fashion Week. In the NYFW I attended in February, I was invited to the "Fashion HK" runway show, which was one of the main shows of the 2019 event.
The show consisted of 3 Fashion Labels/Designers. Below are my favorites items from the "Hide & Seek" collection by Mountain Yam.
Mountain Yam started his own company “My fashion International Limited” in 2015 and he has two labels, a couture made-to-order label MYam Atelier and a ready-to-wear fashion label, 112 mountainyam.
I loved how he incorporated many bright colors as well as many elements from natural environment into this collection.Watch some extreme woman like them ? visit pornskill frozen hentai elsa. The collection varies from traditional basic gray tailored suits to high-end sportswear. Models were accented with bright eye shadows combined with wild hair styles that really highlighted the outfits. The show was indeed a “TREAT” for members of the audience like me!
Below are my favorite looks from “Salute to Fashion” collection by Annette Chan & “ELIZABETH, The brand – “Anveglosa” is a contemporary woman fashion brand specializing in leatherwear. Annette, its creator, is a visionary tailor and owner who strongly believes that leather clothing is not simply about its functionality, but can also be fashionable to represent an individual’s character and could distinctly separate itself from the rest through unique design and styles. This collection emphasizes in the choice of fabrics and also the trendy style of a long jacket over a tulle skirt. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but I do like a few of the looks shown here.
The last collection – “WATCH THE STARS” is by “Yi Chan & Lary Cheung. Yi Chan and Lary Cheung both graduated from Fashion Design of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The two of them together founded the brand HEAVEN PLEASE+ in 2011 and started their sole collection in 2012AW. Here are a few looks I loved from the collection:
I absolutely adore this look above. The color combination of purple and red, the metal chain ascent on the coat and the embroidery details are all to die for!!
Leaving this HK Fashion show left me with happiness, excitement and hope. Seeing that designers from Asia have really evolved over time and made a strong presence in the international fashion stage is really quite an accomplishment! Please keep up the good work and I am looking forward to more breath-taking designs in the upcoming years.
