Eiffel Tower Daydreaming

It might appear that I am not as sensitive to be posting photos from my recent Paris trip since we are all quarantined at home. But, after giving it deeper thought, I have decided, why not give our Covid-19 occupied minds a break and offer everyone, including myself, an opportunity to daydream.

About two months ago, I was in Paris for Paris Fashion Week. At the time, there was already an increase in confirmed cases both in the US and Paris. Paris’s situation got much worse right after I came back. Thinking back, it was truly a risky move for me to go to Paris with so little protection and precaution.

This was my second time to Paris. My first time was not that great at all for many reasons. However, I have to say I enjoyed Paris much more this time compared to the last. I always prefer to shoot photos with no other people in the background for the blog, which forced me to get up around 4am to do makeup and hair and squeeze in a quick breakfast at the hotel. After all of that, I was able to arrive at Eiffel Tower around 8:30am that day, which I thought was early enough to avoid the crowd. But I was WRONG! There was already a handful of married couples taking photos, a number of other bloggers, and tourists.

We were disappointed at how crowded it had already become. My photographer was no longer able to achieve the shot that he had envisioned. But luckily, we had scouted the location the night before and knew exactly the different spots that could produce good content. We quickly adjusted our mindset and started shooting. It was quite cold and windy that day so it was a challenge for both me and my photographer.

Luckily, all the hard work paid off! When I saw the images, I was SO happy how they turned out! I loved how well my outfit matched the scene and the mood of the photo.

Now, let’s walk through the details of this outfit, shall we?! This Logo Printed Metallic Turtleneck Cropped Top (Crop tops are my ALL TIME FAVORITE, a must for not-so-tall people like me!) is by Versace Jeans Couture. It is absolutely beautiful! It makes me look tall and the metallic logo print is bold and eye-catching. The polyester and spandex material mix make it machine washable and stretchy enough for easy fitting.

Here are all the crop tops that I like:

I paired this crop top with a black high-waisted skirt which you probably have already spotted in this post before. It is one of the most frequently used items in my closet because of its versatility! The gold and black color themed outfit called for my black and gold Malone Souliers Maureen Mule pumps without a doubt. My Chanel Le Boy Medium bag perfectly matched the spirit of the city and my outfit!

Here are some of the black mid length skirts I also like at the moment:

After the shoot, I was able to get a warm crepe with nuetella to warm up as I sat down near the Eiffel Tower and Seine river. I started daydreaming of meeting the characters from those french movies that had scenes shot in the area, how people would fall in love in this city, and all other romantic encounters that happen in the city of love.

Well, what can I say! That is what Paris does to you! Where have you been dreaming to visit lately?
