A Short Dress & A Short Story

If you don’t know much about Portland in the past, I bet now you have heard about it because Portland has made it to the News headline for quite a few weeks now. I did wish that we made it to headline not because of the protest situation or the wildfire catastrophe but something more exciting or positive.

The hazardous air quality made simple things such as going out for a walk impossible. Many of those things that we used to not even think about as a thing now becomes impossible or hazardous to do so.

As a result, I have not been much of a working mode. I spent whole day at home re-organizing my office to clear out all the papers I no longer need as well as things I haven’t touched in the past year. I also turned my two floor to ceiling wall shelves into beauty products and accessories display shelves. Now I can easily view and access all gifted skincare & makeup products as well as my own purchased skin care or accessories. Can’t wait to show you!

I wasn’t going to make this post long, but I can’t end this post without talking about the dress I am sporting in today’s post. I got this dress off a website which I have never shopped before. It is called “SHOPSPLASH”. It is a website that sells a few selected designer clothes. The dress I am wearing is by Alice Maccall. I love the metallic crochet-knit material, the cut-out with gold circular ring details, and of course most importantly, the fit.

A Little detail to call out, I purposely chose gold hoop earrings to match the gold hardware to keep the focus on this beautiful dress instead of having statement earrings like how I sometimes do.

People often time ask me, where do I go when I dress like this. In fact, I almost get this question at least once for any outfit I post on my blog. The truth is I dress to make myself feel good 90% the time instead of for a special occasion or an event to go to. Over time, I have noticed a huge difference in my mood, energy level, productivity & outlook depending on how I dress. I also have experienced in so many cases that when you dress well, opportunities just keep coming your way!
