Sporty-Chic in Sport Brands

The past year has been filled with bad news. Everywhere we look, there is something to remind us that we are not doing well. Whether it being racially, politically, or environmentally, 2020 was a year filled with the worst.; and my heart? It was slowly turning black, and I was left feeling bitter. I imagine many of you have also felt this way, but I noticed something different recently.

Waking up every morning has not been so excruciating. Browsing the internet has not been so depressing. Simply thinking about the future of this country and the future of my kids has not been filled with anxiety and uncertainty. I am not sure what exactly created this shift, but I think it started with the 2020 election results and the recent news that the vaccine is on its way to help us fight the coronavirus.

Just like you see in my images here, it finally feels like we are seeing the blue ski after a terrible storm. I love these photos because they are symbolic that the dark days are slowly starting to drift behind with brighter and happier ones coming in. I wanted to produce a look to showcase just how refreshed I have been feeling lately. I can finally breathe!

This outfit is probably the quickest outfit that I have ever put together. I wanted to wear this new Nike crop jacket. The color and shininess of the jacket reflect my mood and my thoughts well, which is why I felt like wearing it. I threw on an Alexander Wang Logo Elastic Zipper Legging and a Field Crop jacket by Alo Yoga underneath the Nike jacket. There, a sporty-chic effortless look!!

For shoes, I picked Fendi biker boots to continue the sporty feel. My Dior bag was the bag choice for this outfit because of its size and color. It elevates the look enough so I don’t look like just coming out of the gym. I would say this is one of the top 3 recent favorite outfits that I put together!

I know hard times are very far from over, but I feel like the people of this nation and world are starting to take the proper actions and response to better our tomorrow. This holiday season, I want to extend all of my love, healing energy, and the biggest hugs to each and every one of you, as well as everyone in this world who is suffering.

I look forward to new years which is coming so soon. Just maybe 2021 can be the year we all join together to better all of us, selflessly and with optimism, understanding, and tolerance.
