Bold And Edgy For 2021

Most people are not in the mood for dressing up for New Year Eve because of obvious reasons. In fact, I was not either until a few hours before dawn time on New Year Eve’s day.

Why a sudden change of decision? Well, over the years, I have learned that what you choose to do has a big impact on what you are able to accomplish and your mood. For example, if I make my bed right away after I wake up in the morning, I have a higher chance of having a productive day; If I dress up, I tend to have a better mood and more opportunities coming my way…So, I decided to end 2020 and welcome 2021 in a bold way with a bit of wildness and edginess.

This dress is by a brand named ROTATE Birger Christensen, which is a Copenhagen-based brand from Birger Christensen in partnership with Danish stylists and influencers, Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars. This faux leather dress was suggested by a team member. At first I didn’t like it because I felt like it is not my kind of dress. I purchased it anyway because I do believe trying things often time do bring surprises. Now, I am so glad I did because from the moment I tried it on, I loved everything about this dress!!! The material, the fit, and the bubble sleeves, and how well this dress is constructed.

I was planning on saving this dress for an upcoming video project, but I couldn’t anymore because no other clothes I have in my closet express the right message for me like this dress does to greet a new year. To match the boldness of this dress, I paired it with this DRAMA clip-on earrings by Ashley Williams. This earring is like my favorite earring purchase of the year. For shoes, I opted for this PARIS TEXAS Knee High Python Print Boot. I think it adds enough intensity to the look but still not taking the focus away from the outfit. By the way, this boot is another example of don’t always think certain things will never work for you. I never think Python print is my thing, but I certainly think I rocked it in this look, don’t I?!

I am happy that 2020 is finally over. But more importantly, I am super excited to welcome 2021 as a new beginning!! 2021 can be the year we all join together to better all of us, selflessly and with optimism, understanding, and tolerance after what all of us have been through!
