Hello everyone! Happy weekend and I hope you have something special planned for the long memorial weekend. I am writing this post on the plane on my way to China Shanghai. I will be posting fun things I see in Shanghai on Instagram, to follow CLICKING HERE.When I acquire a new piece of clothing, I often times will try it out with different things from my closet to see what works or how many different looks I can create. To me, it is almost more fun than going shopping. Because it is a creative, rewarding and challenging process, which I truly enjoy.Today, you will see two different looks I created with this beige VINCE silk top. One is paired with a silk print pencil skirt and the other is paired with a white pant. In the first look, I tucked in the top into the skirt to create more of an office look. Intention is to draw people’s eye to the skirt which has a very cool print of a half buddha face by an Italian designer…… I picked a navy suede pump to keep the bottom half of the body in consistent color theme. For second look, I was aiming more of a weekend brunch relaxing look. I leave the top untucked so the details in the back can be been. When I purchased this top, I also got this white pant at same time from local boutique store--Mercantile. At the time, I wasn’t intentionally making them a pairing. But after I got home, I realized I really like how they looked together. Normally I probably wouldn’t pair beige with white just because they are so close in color theme. What really makes this work is the texture difference and similar ease feel both pieces bring. The best part, my recently acquired beige-white two color toned Chanel sling shoe matches the outfit perfectly.I would recommend this top to almost any body shape simply because it is very forgiving and flattering piece. What’s more, it is very easy to create interesting looks with it!!
