New Look For A New Decade
The more practice I get from putting outfits together for my blog, the more I realize you need to be experimental and willing to think outside the box to continuously create interesting outfits.
This outfit I am sporting in today’s post is a perfect example. What I had originally planned for this Halegon Pleated Asymmetrical Lame Blouse (on sale for $89) was to pair with a matching color skinny jean and an over-the-knee pair of boots. On the shoot day, my team and I decided to try it with this Dior tutu skirt just for fun! And just like that, here it is - a perfect look for new year eve & a new decade!!!
Over the year, I have reflected and summarized a few rules that 80-90% of the time that they always work right in the world of styling. In the early days of Style Right blog, I used to list them in my post every time I applied a rule to my outfit. I stopped doing that, which I don’t remember why. But anyway, here is one rule for you all today: When your top is wide on the bottom, it usually works better with something that is also wide or puffy on the bottom. In my experience, the continuation of the shape of the top in general has a better effect than the wide top paired with a narrow bottom like the skinny jean idea for this top.
Entering a new decade with this fierce-less, bold and sharp look made me feel I can not be more ready to take on this new decade:
To continually tell the world that your appearance MATTERS a lot, please PUT MORE EFFORTS in your outfits;
To show people that no matter how old you are and where you are in life, it is never too late to pursue your dream or what you want to do;
It is never too late to implement a change. Change means opportunities;
Don’t let others take you down or affect you negatively. Be persistent and patient, focus your energy on just DOING.
