Meet Ronen A.K.A. "The Boss"

This week I wanted to feature one of my best creations, my 3 year old boy Ronen. He is such a delightful and whole-hearted child with a strong personality, that I have been dying to share with the rest of the world. Many consider him my mini-me, which is why I think this post will help you get to know me better.

Trait # 1: Ronen has always been very easy going

Most kids take years to be able to comfortably sleep on their own. In Ronen’s case, he began sleeping by himself when he was only 6 months old. Not only that, but when he is hurt in any way, he only cries for 10 seconds and quickly recovers with a big smile. To be honest, we didn’t really even potty train him. All it took was a bag of m&ms as a reward!

Trait # 2: Ronen has a thing against apologizing

It is always fascinating the gibberish and words that come out of Ronen’s mouth. Anything that his vocal cords can produce, he says. However, the one word Ronen can never say is “Sorry”, time-out never works for him, and I can never seem to tell him what to do when he is angry. He is as stubborn as… ME!

Though this can be an issue, most of the time Ronen is a very sweet boy — he always tells me how much he loves me, hugs me, and kisses me.

Trait # 3: Ronen LOVES to eat!

Nothing can get in between Ronen and his food. He can pretty much eat all day long and wherever floats his boat — like eating sushi while taking his bath last week. Ronen’s favorite food is rice, which is one of the biggest blessings, as it is one of the easiest things to make. He will take rice in any form — plain, brown, sticky, dry, overcooked, or raw… Rice is the way to his heart!

Trait # 4: Ronen is a protector

Ronen loves a lot of things. Besides his biggest love… rice, he loves his big brother, Brayden, the most. He follows him around all day and calls him “baby”, as if he were his own. And at school, he is known to take care of his big brother no matter the situation.

So why do I call Ronen “The Boss”? To sum it all up, he doesn’t take “No” for an answer.
