Appreciation Dinner With My Team
From my 13 years of working experience at Intel, I have learned that you can’t do everything by yourself. It is important to work with a team and appreciate the people you work with.
That is exactly why from the day I started having other people join me in the Style Right team, I started to find different ways to appreciate their dedication and efforts in helping Style Right grow and develop even when Style Right was still lost as a business entity. I believe appreciation brings empowerment, positivity and loyalty.
For the 2019 end-of-year appreciation dinner, I decided to do a dinner with and for my team. I have always loved dining at one of Portland’s best Spanish restaurants, Can Font . They have the best Paella in town, without a doubt!
We ordered PAN CON TOMATE, BOMBAS, two orders of VIERA Y PULPO A LA PLANCHA (the octopus was SO GOOD!) as appetizers for us to share. The PAN CON TOMATE was so delicious even though it is such a simple dish. All of us also ordered our own choice of red wine, cocktail drinks or Sangria. The night started off on a high note already!
For Paella, we ordered PAELLA DE MARISCOS and PAELLA NEGRA each order for two people. The one you see in the picture below is the PAELLA NEGRA (with squid ink). They were just unbelievably delicious!! The flavor was on point, the seafood was cooked perfectly. Rice was al dente, as it is in Spain. Between laughters and a toast, we plowed through both paellas very quickly.
Most of my teammates are part-time for Style Right. It is incredible to see how far Style Right has grown just with this small team of people who are passionate and dedicated! I shared some of the milestones for Style Right and some of my goals for 2020 with my team. Everyone was as excited as I was to see what 2020 would unfold for Style Right!
When it was dessert time, we had a hard time choosing between the three choices on the menu, so we decided to get them all…lol! My personal favorite was Bizcocho de Ganache, but also very much liked the Merengue de Avellana.
Throughout the night, all of my teammates were very impressed by the quality of Can Font’s food as well as the service. All of the servers were very knowledgable and attentive. We never had to catch their attention to ask for something - our needs were all taken care of before we even needed to ask for them! The dining experience was overall so pleasant and memorable! I feel very honored that Can Font hosted my team and I am extremely happy that we had such a great dining and celebrating experience at Can Font! Once again, THANK YOU GJcaira Bishop, the marketing manager of Can Font, for having us!!
We all left the restaurant with a happy full tummy, a recharged body, and refreshed mind. We are ready to take on the challenges that Style Right is about to face in 2020! With the driven, passionate, persistent & perfectionist characters we have on our team, I think we can bring big and positive changes to the world of fashion and living!
