We Made A Slik Dress

A few weeks ago, my team and I spontaneously decided to make a dress on our own. The whole process of creating the dress took about 4 hours. Our effort included fabric shopping, setting up the sewing machine, cutting fabrics, sewing pieces together, and fitting the dress. I have always enjoyed creative projects since I was a child. I am very excited to share this awesome fabric and cool dress with you!

Finding the perfect fabric for this dress was a very critical step. We couldn’t find anything like or close to what we wanted at local fabric stores. An internet research directed us to a fabric company – TISSURA. TISSURA is a network of fabric shops and showrooms that has been presenting haute couture fabrics for almost 20 years. They offer exclusive fabrics, trimmings and accessories of premium quality. Their collections include fabrics used by the most famous fashion houses.

Under Tissura Lace fabric collection we found the fabric for this dress. When we received the fabric, my team and I were very happy the two fabrics feel and look. The raised flowers of the fabric we used on the bottom part of the dress are particularly impressive and unique. It contrasts well with the lightness, softness & simplicity of the fabric on the upper part of the dress. Four hours later, we turned them into a beautiful dress!
