Recap Of "Style Right In Trench Coat" Event

A couple months back,  I hosted Style Right's very first off-line event: "STYLE RIGHT IN TRENCH COAT" at Portland's local boutique store Moule.  The more I found people live life on internet(including me), the more I long for human interaction.  The idea behind this event was to offer an "off-line" opportunity for people to get together to socialize, learn and share about something specific , in this case Trench Coat, in the world of fashion. The event was composed of three segments:

  • Social hour

  • Presentation to talk about trench coat fitting and style

  • Hands-on practice to create various trench coat looks

I was pleasantly surprised for the event to sell out of over 40 attendees!   During the social hour,  the atmosphere was very up-lifting and energetic. Our on-site photographer : Andrew Mesa,  took bunch of cool photos. How often do we get to dress up and go to an event with a professional photographer to capture a beautiful look for you ?! That was certainly a treat for all of us!  Thank you Andrew for donating your talent once again!

For the presentation, the engaged audience laughed, and asked great questions  throughout the presentation.  Thanks to those that said they liked my presentation and the  content! (I also want to give credit to my awesome team of support. : )

After the presentation, we split the group into 4 for hands-on practice. Each group were given 1 trench coat + 5 options to create their best trench coat look . All four groups selected a model from their group's wearing the trench coat look their team created. Those four models did a runaway show for us.  That was such a blast!  I have to say I was very impressed with their work. The teams immediately applied some of the rules and tips I shared in the presentation. They were also quite creative and resourceful! Most people didn't leave after the event was over. Instead, they stayed around to shop to take advantage of on-site stylists support. Two senior stylists from Moule boutique store plus myself helped many folks picked up some items either for themselves and also for their beloved ones.

The event went longer than expected because everyone was so indulged in all of the activities. Nobody seemed notice about the time. So many of participants shared generous positive feedback about the space, event set up, presentation, my team of support.....etc. Some of them even requested information about next event and vouched would join all of my future events from now on, many of them followed me on Wechat,  my blog & Instagram on the spot ........All of above flooded my heart with tremendous happiness, satisfaction and appreciation!  That,  is how I know this was indeed a very successful event!!

Those of you who joined the event all heard this during my presentation : "Good clothes, opens all doors" by "Thomas Fuller". I'd like to end this post with this quote so we all remember your appearance matters!! If you ever need help, come to Style Right!!Lastly but not least, thank you to Moule store for having trust in me to run this event at your lovely store!

Thank you to my teammates: Bowen & Linqin for their wonderful support and trust! Thank you again to Photographer Andrew for volunteering to help!! Also thank you to all of friends who helped to spread the words and promote the event on your own!! This event wouldn't be so successfully without all of your support!!
