Elevate Your Bikini With Accessories

Shopping for swimwear could be daunting. what’s the material? How’s the coverage? How’s the fit and shape? In case you missed my previous post about the classic one-piece swimwear, or if you prefer to try something colorful and playful, here’s my other swimwear recommendation from the same brand- Becca Swimwear.

This flirty, cross-over bikini top has an asymmetric one-shoulder design. The wire-free cups set you free, while the removable foam inserts keep you in good shape. The bikini bottom provides supportive and full coverage. And it comes with a variety of rainbow colors. I’m just in love with everything about this bikini set!

Now you’re all set and head to the beach or your secret swimming hole, what else can you bring to elevate your look? An oversized “Le Grand Chapeau Valensole Hat” by Jacquemus certainly makes a bold statement.

I have been following Simon Porte Jacquemus for a few years, and I’m obsessed with his creativeness and original designs. Among the asymmetric shoes and extra-tiny handbags, he has an instinct to find poetry in daily life. In case you haven’t watched his SS/20 show, a pink catwalk magically happened in the lavender field or followed the hashtag #jacquemusathome he initiated during the quarantine, I would strongly recommend you to check them out on your spare time and you can thank you later.

Getting back to the straw hat, which was influenced by southern french culture and  a means for the designer to pay homage to his late mother. It will easily put you in the spotlight with its oversized volume, and best of all, you don’t even need to wear sunscreen.

Other ways of using accessories to elevate your look include wearing your beloved sunglasses, an indigenous printed kaftan, a knitted bag, or an ocean-themed necklace. No matter if you're a fan of clean-cut simplicity or glamorous bohemian chic, you can just give it a try with the accessories you probably already bought but haven’t put them together yet. And the most important thing is to be free and enjoy the summer!
