Dress As The Season Calls For

As much as I like hot sunny summer days, I can’t deny that I also love fall colors and slightly cold weather. It is mid-Oct already, but I am still able to wear just a long sleeve colorful silk Zimmerman dress in Portland during the day.

One of the things that have always help me to dress well is following seasonality. For example, in summer I tend to wear light color clothes and a lot of white; in the fall time, more rich, orange, dark red hues of colors and in winter I tend to wear quite a bit of black, and other warm-toned colors. I think dress according to seasonable colors is one of the ways to keep you trendy and in.

This dress I am sporting in today’s post is by Zimmermann. There are so many aspects that I love about this dress. One obvious one is the color. Though normally I am not a big fan of wearing prints, this color and pattern combo just got me from the moment I laid my eye on it. The silk material naturally makes this dress flowy and dreamy. I love the effect it comes with it every time I walk by people. I also think the gold button choice is so right-on. It together with the bubble sleeve adds the right amount of royal feel to this dress, which I love.

Here are a few colorful fall dresses that I love at the moment:

At night time, I would switch to wearing boots to go with this dress and layer a trench coat over it. There goes another put-together night time fall outfit that is good for either dating or girl’s night out.

As weather transitions to fall, what have you been adding to your closet or love wearing at the moment? Please share with me, I would love to hear.
