Bold Prints And Faux Leather Skirt Trend

I don’t know if this is just me, or perhaps you have been sharing the same feeling: I find myself longing for colors and prints in this endless pandemic situation. The sweatshirt and pants aesthetic are not working for me anymore. The thought of putting on the loungewear or sleepwear is just too boring when every day seems like on repeat.

I shared my Zimmerman printed dress look a couple of weeks ago, which is kind of low-key and blends well with the autumn scene. However, if you’re in the mood to try something more daring like I do, then you are in the right place.

I am usually not a print kind of person, but I also realize never say never. Sometimes, it is about seeing the right print or, sometimes it just means it is yet to happen. Here are some of my tips for wearing prints: the first easy rule to follow is wear a bottom that is one solid color out of the colors from the print top. For example, this floral top I’m wearing here has a lot of blue and orange colors that can easily match with blue or orange bottom. If you want to even more bold or challenge yourself then you could try print on print. I like checking early photos of Battaglia Giovanna and studying how she mixes and matches prints. It might not be for everyone, but it certainly has a lot of fun to style your clothes in an unexpected way. And when in doubt, you can always invest your money on printed clothes from brands such as Marni or Etro who have a long history making artful prints.

The reason why I love this top so much is because of the exotic pattern, the bold color combination and the luxury feel of the velvet material. It is one of the items you must have in your wardrobe to possibly make a bad day be a little bit brighter.

Here are a few print tops I like at the moment:

I bought this top a while ago but I didn’t feature it until today because I wanted to find that perfect bottom to match with this amazing top. When I spotted this MATERIEL Ruched faux leather midi skirt on mytheresa website, I knew that was what I had been searching for!

I love the fact it is high-waisted because not-so-tall people like me needs every tricks I can get to make me look a bit taller than I actually am. I love how figure-hugging this skirt is. It definitely enhances my butt view for sure if I am being honest. I also love the ruched side slit to show a little bit of the skin to give a small dose of sexiness.
