Paris Hilton Is Back, So Is The Tracksuit
Though I’m not a big fan of Paris Hilton’s real-life Barbie look, without a doubt, Paris Hilton’s Juicy couture tracksuit has been an iconic celebrity style popularized in the 2000s. I can vividly remember seeing pictures of celebrities wearing pink, purple, turquoise, or sparkling tracksuits all over the place and I secretly owned a pair of blue velour tracksuits during that time.
Paris Hilton, the social media influencer before the era of social media, has recently released a documentary film about her life on youtube. I’m struck by her persistence to be relevant, so I started to watch it on a lazy afternoon. To my surprise, I found her much more than what people Stereotypies her as a dumb blond, and in fact, quite a successful businesswoman.
Whether you like Paris Hilton or not, she is back, so does the tracksuit, declared by Vogue Trend “Juicy Couture is Back! 10 Superfans On Why They Can’t Quit the Tracksuit”. Now with working-from-home seems forever lasting or at least a hybrid-mode for many individuals, we can’t emphasize enough the importance of a put-together comfortable outfit.
Ever since I introduced Brunello Cucinelli to my readers last month, I have personally got hooked up with this Italian brand. After I dug into their history and found out they started with making cashmere goods, I’ve been eager to try their knitwear. This cashmere set I’m sporting today is a perfect work-from-home outfit. This set isn’t really a tracksuit, but it is not too far to say It’s a variation of the traditional tracksuit. I would call it a grown-up tracksuit version: a casual look cardigan and matching jogger pants that are made of cashmere. It’s super soft and warm, on-trend, with many interesting details such as beads and silk on the pockets. I can literally wear it day after day. ha ha!
Here are some cashmere cardigans I love at the moment:
I don’t like to set the room temperature too high in the wintertime. One, it’s a waste of energy, two it’s always nice to feel the change of the season wearing different types of natural materials. While linen and silk are for summer, wool and cashmere are the go-to’s for fall and winter. They’re more breathable than synthetic materials and keep you warm with comfort.
This cashmere set can be dressed up or down. If I need to run out to do some errands, I can just throw a pair of GUCCI Off-White Logo Rhyton Sneakers on. If I opt for a more formal look, I will wear this set with a coat and possibly a pair of loafers.
I picked out some similar cashmere track pants or some of you will call jogger pants here for you, hopefully, one of them will catch your eye:
Now we’re almost eight months in working remotely, what is your favorite work-from-home outfit? Comment to share and I will feature it on my Instagram story.
